5 Best Foods, Desserts, and Drinks for New Years

Well, I don’t know if you can believe it, but I sure can’t. 2022 is just around the corner, and it feels as though 2021 flew by on a jet plane and passed me. 2021 went by incredibly fast. It was difficult, great, and full of ups and downs. It was a year like no other.

Thankfully, 2022 is a new opportunity to start fresh, to begin again, and to try new things.

But, before we get to the New Year, let’s talk about what you are going to bring to that New Years Eve or New Years Day party!

Everyone loves a good party, and more importantly everyone loves eating the tasty food at a party. Most people bring things that are yummy, easy to pick up with your fingers (aka finger food), or food that is easy to travel (aka bring it in the car, Uber, cab, subway etc). Here are 5 of my favorite recipes to bring to parties.

Whether you are hosting the party, or attending one, these recipes will not disappoint.

1. Moist Chocolate Cupcakes

These babies are moist, heavenly, and they are the perfect size, so everyone at the party can easily grab one as they are chatting and making small talk with others.

2. Gluten & Dairy-Free Coconut Samoa Cookies

These scrumptious Girl Scout copycat cookies will be a crowd pleaser at any event you go to.

3. Blackberry Orange Spritzer Mocktail

This is a great option to make for all those party goers who don’t drink, and still want a delicious, flavorful fizzy drink.

4. Homemade Vegan Pesto

This is an amazing versatile option, especially for your vegan friends, and it makes for an incredible dip. You can serve it with toasted pita chips, toasted sliced sourdough, bring it as a spread for homemade pizza, or even mix it with pasta to make a quick and easy entree. The ideas are endless.

5. Almond Poppy Seed Muffins

These muffins are quick to whip up, great finger food, and you can pack them up in some Tupperware and they travel easily. You do not have to worry about them falling over or making a mess. Plus, they are refined sugar free, so they are almost healthy!
